Lake Geneva (also known as "Lac Léman" and "Lac de
Genève") is the huge glacial fed lake located in south western Switzerland.
The city of Geneva is situated at the west end of the lake. France lies to the
south of the lake and the Swiss city of Lausanne is situated at the north.
Many residents and visitors to Geneva Switzerland enjoy
water related sports on the lake. Sailing and yachting are popular
activities in Switzerland and a number of marinas can be found in the Geneva
area. On a warm day, many tourists enjoy renting
paddleboats. Boat
tours of the lake are available from Geneva.
